During the Summer Game Fest 2026 showcase, Telltale Games confirmed that the long-awaited sequel, The Wolf Among Us 2, will launch in 2027. The announcement came alongside a surprise reveal: a remastered version of the original 2013 game is set to arrive much sooner, during the Holiday 2026 season.

The remaster is expected to bring visual upgrades and performance improvements to the noir-inspired detective story featuring Bigby Wolf. For those who missed the original release or want a refresher before the sequel, this version will likely serve as the definitive way to experience the first season. Telltale did not specify which platforms would receive the remaster, but details are expected closer to launch.
