Niantic has confirmed that Sobble, the Water-type starter from the Galar region, will be the featured Pokémon for the July 2026 Community Day event in Pokémon GO. Trainers can expect a dedicated window of increased spawns, a special move, and several bonus rewards designed to make the most of the summer weather.
The event is scheduled to run for the standard three-hour period on a Saturday in July. During this time, Sobble will appear much more frequently in the wild, giving players a strong chance to catch a shiny version. The highlight for many will be evolving Drizzile, Sobble's first evolution, into the final form Inteleon. This evolution will unlock an exclusive charged attack that is not normally available. While Niantic has not yet detailed the exact move, past Community Days suggest it will be a powerful Water-type attack to boost Inteleon's performance in raids and the GO Battle League.
Beyond the increased spawns, the event will offer triple Stardust for catching Pokémon, making it a prime opportunity to stockpile resources. Incense and Lure Modules activated during the event will also last for three hours. Trainers who purchase the special research story will get additional encounters and items tied to Sobble's journey. As always, players should stock up on Poké Balls and plan their routes to maximize the limited window, as the boosted spawns and bonuses will disappear once the clock runs out.
