A new horror experience is turning a mundane childhood chore into a nightmare. Farsight, a project from developer Studio Noori, takes the concept of an eye exam and twists it into a psychological trap. Players step into the role of a 12-year-old child who is struggling with their vision, seeing either too much or too little of the reality around them.
The game is set inside a liminal house, a space that feels familiar yet deeply wrong. To survive, you cannot rely on normal sight. Instead, you must use a specific set of tools to navigate the darkness. The gameplay revolves around three key items: a pair of binoculars for long distance viewing, a walkie-talkie for communication, and a 90s handheld camera. These devices are not just for puzzles; they are your only defense against what lurks in the corridors.
The aesthetic leans heavily into the analog horror trend, using the grainy footage of the handheld camera to reveal things the naked eye misses. The walkie-talkie suggests a connection to someone outside, though it is unclear if they are a friend or another part of the trap. By forcing the player to view the world through lenses, the game creates a constant sense of vulnerability. You are never sure if what you are seeing is the truth or a distortion caused by the very eyes you are trying to test.
